An increasing number of businesses directly serving the Russian community indicates the growing presence of newcomers from Russia and the former Soviet republics in the Atlanta community. The Russian community can now access specialty foods, clothing and furniture, and there is also an increase in export/import activity with the Baltic nations and Russia. The Russian/Former Soviet population is concentrated almost exclusively in the northern portions of the region, with one noteable exception. One of the largest concentrations is found in unincorporated Douglas County, south of I-20 along the Fulton border.
