In interviews, the University of the West Indies (UWI) was mentioned as a significant factor in preparing people from the Caribbean region for today's economy. Entrepreneurs are also prevalent within Atlanta's Caribbean community. The largest concentrations of Caribbean populations are in the eastern and southeastern DeKalb County outside the perimeter and south of I-20.
