Ethnic Minority Mapping in the Atlanta Region

The Global Atlanta Works Interactive Mapping System is intended for use by policy makers, businesses, educators, non-profits, ethnic communities, students, service providers, and anyone interested in learning about the dozens of distinct ethnic groups in the Atlanta region.

Recognizing the significant growth of emerging populations, the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) compiles data on diverse ethnic groups, particularly the growing foreign-born populations in Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Rockdale, and the City of Atlanta.

These maps are also helpful for finding resources that are available specifically for these groups and potentially creating economic opportunities or illustrating gaps in services.  For example, the maps let you also see where the speakers of foreign languages live and provides some basic demographic information about the foreign-born population.  This Interactive Mapping System works in tandem with the Multicultural Resource Directory and Calendar of Events for maximum results.
